Timeless Test
Timeless Test is the longest game of cricket ever played. The game started in South Africa March 3rd and the game was abandoned twelve days later, when the English players needed to catch the ferry back to England. South Africa set a target of 696 for England to win, however, the time the english players needed to leave to cathch their boat, thei had reached 654 for 5.
The definition of a timeless Test crocket play is a test cricket played under no limitation of time. The match is played until one side wins or the match is tied with theoretically no possibility of a draw. Basically it means that defensively play for a draw is not possible to play and in principle the format should guarantee a result, though, making the commercial aspects and scheduling of the events very difficult.
