The Wizard of Oz
The Wizard of Oz was released in August 26 in the year 1939. It was an American musical fantasy film, which was based on a 1900 childrens novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by Frank Baum.
The film became notable because of its special effects, technicolor and fantasy storytelling. It has probably became one of one of the best known films produced ever, however, the film was at firs a box office failure. In the year 1939 the film was the most expensive production up to that time. The releases later on made up the original loss and the film one the award for Best Original Song and Over the Rainbow awards.
In the Story of The Wizard of Oz Dorothy Gale is swept in to a magical land in a tornado. Dorothy tries to find her way to Wizard of Oz, who could help her return back home.
