Manhattan Project

The Manhattan Project is presented to the United States president Franklin D. Roosevelt in October 11th 1939. The president gets a letter from Albert Einstein, where Einstein is underlining the importance to develop the atomic bomb. The Manhattan Project was led by United States with the participation from Canada and United Kingdom employing over 130 000 people and costing over 25 billion dollars in the currency of 2012.

The production and research of the nuclear bomb took place in over thirty different sites in Canada, United Kingdom and United States.
