Hewlett-Packard

Hewlett-Packard Company was founded 1.1.1939 by Bill and Dave. The name of the company was decided by flipping of a coin. Packard-Hewlett does not sound right?

Bill and Dave became friens in 1934 and started working together 1938. In the yearly days Bill Hewlett’s quote was “Anything to bring in a nickel”.

1938 HP invents its first product, which was oscillator for Walt Disney. The function of this oscillator was to test sound equipment. It was named HP Model 200A.

1.1.1939 Bill and Dave formalized their partnership and established the company Hewlett Packard. In 1940 they moved out of the garage and the same year Bill and Dave issue Christmas bonuses for their employees.
